With an Aquarium educator, participants will learn all about penguins — their biology, where they live, what they eat, and more.
Have you ever seen a penguin walk into a doctor’s office? Not likely! Our feathered friends need specific care, provided by our veterinarians. Learn all about penguins, and how our veterinarians take care of them here at the Aquarium!
Participants will learn what goes into taking care of our feathered friends by diagnosing real penguin problems and coming up with treatment plans. With an educator, they will learn all about penguins — their biology, where they live, what they eat, and more.
The class ends with a science experiment that teaches kids about the effects of an oil spill on penguins and other seabirds.
This class is for children ages 8-12.
$40 for non-members, $35 for members
PLEASE NOTE:
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, we have limited capacity in our event room. To ensure we can accommodate as many participants as possible, we kindly ask parents to either refrain from attending with their children or purchase their own spot in the class. Parents who want to remain at the Aquarium are welcome to explore our exhibits for the duration of the program.
