Achieving the Dream: Women of Color in Science, Business and the Arts

Looking for something to do with your kids for Martin Luther King Day? Join us for fun learning and games, as we explore the accomplishments and successes of some of the most incredible women in history.

This new and exciting program explores women of African American descent who made their mark on US History. These innovative women achieved success in the fields of science, business and the arts, including mathematicians, inventors, aviators, environmentalists, sculptors, and entrepreneurs. These courageous women broke down social barriers and permanently changed the course of history through their strength, effort, and determination.
